Near Beitou MRT Station sits this unassuming little shop that's always packed with locals.
And its bold name - "The Most Traditional" Tofu Pudding Hall - lives up to expectations after you taste their offerings!
Their tofu pudding, mung bean soup, red bean soup etc. are all made with genuine skill and care.

This modest little shop carries the collective memories of Beitou residents!
You'll see people of all ages faithfully visiting this traditional dessert spot during hot summer days.
Honestly, without a true local's recommendation, this humble shop would be easy to overlook.
With just 3-4 small tables available outside, most customers opt to take away 3, 5, or even 10 portions to enjoy with family in air-conditioned comfort!
The prices here are incredibly reasonable - just NT35!
Half the price of those Instagram-famous dessert cafes.
Today we each ordered a bowl.
Since I wasn't in the mood for tofu pudding,
I went for the red bean tangyuan (sweet rice balls).
I assumed it might only be available hot, but was delighted to find they serve it chilled too - perfect for summer!
Iced Mung Bean Tofu Pudding (冰綠豆豆花) (NT$45)
While their name suggests tofu pudding is their specialty, their toppings are equally impressive!
The mung beans maintain perfect shape yet melt smoothly, with natural sweetness and delicate aroma.
The tofu pudding is incredibly silky, literally melting in your mouth.
Its subtle bean fragrance complements rather than competes with the mung beans.
Iced Red Bean Tangyuan (冰紅豆湯圓) (NT$45)
Featuring traditional red and white glutinous rice balls, they remain perfectly chewy even in cold soup.
The red beans look intact but dissolve into velvety smoothness, transforming into sweet paste in your mouth with an explosion of authentic red bean flavor.
Paired with the QQ texture of tangyuan, it's pure dessert bliss.
Beyond desserts and drinks, this place amazingly doubles as a breakfast spot, opening at 6am!
The morning crowd is apparently just as big, and their soy milk is reportedly as good as their tofu pudding.
Next time you're in Beitou for shopping or sightseeing, don't miss this local institution!
